About Darton
Darton Drake, master portrait photographer is at the pinnacle of a 37-year career in portraiture. A graduate of the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee (now known as the Milwaukee School of Art and Design) and a student of Frank Scherschel, Darton has received numerous national and international awards for artistic achievement in children's portraiture. His work has been published in national books and magazines, and has been on display at Disney World's Epcot Center in Orlando, FL. Darton is widely sought after by his peers for his lectures and seminars and is recognized as one of the top ten portrait photographers in the nation.
There is nothing typical about a portrait session with Darton, except his unique ability to touch the hearts of all children. During the session, Darton sensitively draws from your child emotions of trust and freedom of expression, and quickly an incredible rapport develops.
